About the group

Overview

We are a small not for profit dance group of enthusiasts dancing traditional dances from the Balkans and beyond. We meet weekly on Thursdays in Ecclesall Parish Hall unless noted otherwise.  Members of the class will teach the dances.

Our dances are from Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Greece, Armenia, Albania and more. Typically we dance in lines or circles and no partners are needed. The music is recorded however we sometimes have an accordionist to play for us.

Try the first session free otherwise it is pay as you go currently at £5 per session.

Sometimes we are asked to perform on occasions such as the Bakewell Day of Dance. The photographs are of us performing at the Bakewell day of Dance and on stage in Albania at a folk festival. There is no obligation or expectation for you to perform!
